For an authentic vineyard experience, visit Croft’s famous estate, Quinta da Roêda, in Pinhão, in the heart of the Douro Valley.
The visitors’ centre is housed in the former stables of Quinta da Roêda, which have been carefully restored in the traditional style of the Douro. This generous is the perfect setting to taste the famous Croft Port wines gives you the opportunity to browse in the shop for local products, such as the extra virgin olive oil from Quinta da Roêda.
Discover the vineyards of Quinta da Roêda as you take a guided tour, stopping at key points of interest in the property and taking in the incredible landscape and splendour of the property.
During the harvest you can also enjoy the unique experience of treading the grapes in the ‘lagares’, the granite treading tanks in which the wine is made (advance booking required).
Quinta da Roêda is a short distance from the centre of the town of Pinhão and is accessible for tour buses as well as private cars.
Visits are carried out by appointment and are available in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

Behind the world’s famous wine producers, there is always a renowned vineyard. Described as the jewel of Port wine properties, Quinta da Roêda consists of an extensive terraced vineyard that sweeps the north bank of the Douro River, just above Pinhão.
Discover the secrets of the vineyard while taking a guided tour of the estate, stopping at points of interest along the way and enjoying the magnificent landscape and breathtaking views over the Douro River. Once you have been guided through the beautiful vineyards, finish your tour with a tasting to best suit your curiosity about the incredible port wines of the house of Croft.

What finer location in the world to enjoy a picnic, made up of a selection of traditional Portuguese delicacies with your friends, than in the heart of the majestic Douro Valley.
When you arrive you will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of Croft Pink, the first Rosé Port Wine.
Enjoy your picnic on the shaded terrace, overlooking the splendour of the vineyards, olive groves and Douro river.
The choice of the basket must be made in advance.
